Sixteen Pearl Jam Hits to Be Featured as the Exclusive Music During

The Final Two Consecutive "Cold Case" Episodes of the Season

LOS ANGELES, March 18 - The music of Pearl Jam will be featured exclusively during the two-part sixth season finale episodes of COLD CASE, to be broadcast Sunday, May 3 and Sunday, May 10 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

A total of 16 to-be-determined Pearl Jam hits will be woven throughout the two consecutive COLD CASE finale episodes. This marks the first time COLD CASE has exclusively showcased the music of one artist/group in more than one episode - and the first time Pearl Jam has permitted a program to make selections from their entire catalog of music. A number of featured songs will be from the band's 1991 debut album Ten, which is being reissued on March 24.

In the episodes, titled "The Long Blue Line" and "Into the Blue," Rush (Kathryn Morris) and the team delve into the 2005 murder case of the first female cadet of a local military school who didn't live beyond her first semester. Suspects abound as they discover how brutally the victim was treated from Day One by an array of resentful male cadets and school officials. The case dredges up some painful memories for Rush, who forged her own difficult path as the first female homicide detective in the Philadelphia Police Department. Both season finale episodes were written by Jennifer Johnson and Greg Plageman, two of the series' executive producers.

"The breadth of the Pearl Jam catalog captures not only the spirit of alienated youth, but narrates that journey to adulthood and disillusionment and redemption," said Jennifer Johnson. "It was the perfect accompaniment for Rush's origin story -- told in flashbacks -- of how and why she became the first female homicide detective in the PPD." Added Greg Plageman, "We're thrilled to have Pearl Jam's music in not only one, but two, of our episodes. It's also a great fit with the team's murder investigation of a trail-blazing female cadet."

Past single-artist episodes of COLD CASE featured the music of John Lennon, Frank Sinatra, Nirvana, Johnny Cash, John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, Tim McGraw, U2 and Bob Dylan.

COLD CASE stars Kathryn Morris, Danny Pino, John Finn, Jeremy Ratchford, Thom Barry and Tracie Thoms. It is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Television in association with CBS Paramount Network Television and Warner Bros. Television. Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman, Meredith Stiehm, Jennifer Johnson and Greg Plageman are the executive producers.
