18 TO LIFE (ABC) - While ABC has passed on the pilot, the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) is still moving forward with the project. The pair partnered on the half-hour, which stars Stacey Farber and Michael Seater as 18-year-old neighbors who get married on a dare only to face criticism from their parents and friends, last year in a deal brokered by Alchemy Television. Derek Schreyer and Karen Troubetzkoy are behind the project, which also stars Peter Keleghan, Al Goulem, Ellen David and newcomers Tommie-Amber Pirie and Ariel Shiri. Peter Wellington directed the pilot.

THE BIG D (CBS) - Deanne Dunagan, Missy Pyle and Chris Parnell have all scored roles on the comedy pilot, about a New York couple that moves "to the husband's hometown of Dallas, where his Southern belle mother (Dunagan) makes life complicated for his East Coast wife." Pyle then will play the husband's emotional sister while Parnell is in talks to play her husband, a preacher. Jackie Filgo and Jeff Filgo are behind the half-hour, which is set up at Warner Bros. Television.

THE EASTMANS (CBS) - Saffron Burrows, Jesse Bradford and Gaby Hoffmann are the latest additions to the drama pilot, about a complicated family of doctors. Burrows is set as Anna Eastman, "who is trying to develop a cure for autism while grappling with the fact her child might have the disorder." Hoffmann and Bradford then are on board as twins Sally and Seth Eastman - she's a pathologist while he's had his license suspended because of a Vicodin addiction. Warner Bros. Television is behind the project, which was created by Margaret Nagle.

EASTWICK (ABC) - "Ugly Betty" alum Rebecca Romijn has been tapped for a lead role on the drama pilot, about three women who discover they have mystical powers when a mysterious man comes to town. She'll play one of the them, Roxie, a Bohemian and sharp-tongued single mother. Lindsay Price and Jaime Ray Newman also topline the hour, which comes from director David Nutter and writer Maggie Friedman. Warner Bros. Television is producing.

THE GOOD WIFE (CBS) - Matt Czuchry ("Gilmore Girls") has joined the cast of the pilot, a drama about a politician's wife (Julianna Margulies) who gets a job as a junior associate at a top law firm. He'll play the other first-year associate at the firm, a handsome Harvard graduate. Charles McDougall is helming the CBS Paramount Network Television-based hour from a script by Michelle and Robert King.

GOSSIP GIRL (The CW) - Matt Barr ("One Tree Hill") is the final addition to the "Gossip Girl" spin-off, about the teen adventures of Lily Rhodes (Brittany Snow) in 1980s Los Angeles. He'll play Keith van der Woodsen, a rich and handsome Malibu prince who may be the future father of Blake Lively's Serena van der Woodsen. The backdoor pilot, airing May 11, also stars Andrew McCarthy, Krysten Ritter and Shilo Fernandez.

MIAMI TRAUMA (CBS) - Jeremy Northam ("The Tudors") has signed onto the drama pilot, a medical drama set at a Miami trauma center. He'll play a likable but enigmatic new doctor on the trauma ward. Writer Jeffrey Lieber and executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer are behind the hour, which comes from Warner Bros. Television.

TREME (HBO) - Oscar nominee Melissa Leo ("Frozen River") has joined the cast of the David Simon-produced drama pilot, which chronicles the post-Katrina rebuilding of New Orleans through the eyes of local musicians. She'll play a civil rights lawyer in the ensemble, which also stars Clarke Peters, Khandi Alexander, Kim Dickens, Rob Brown, Steve Zahn and Wendell Pierce. Agnieszka Holland is also on board to direct the hour from a script by Simon and Eric Overmyer.
