NEW YORK, NY -- Reuniting loved ones. Reconnecting lives. WE tv's hit series THE LOCATOR broke records in season one as the highest-rated premiere ever in the history of the network. On the heels of that success, season two brings more stories of hope, heart and life-changing reunions, as locator Troy Dunn (located over 40,000 "unfind-able" men, women and children) reunites "half the world with the other half," helping people find peace by finding the pieces missing by long lost loved ones. The second season of THE LOCATOR premieres in eight new half-hour episodes with the first two airing back-to-back on Saturday March 21st at 9p/8c and 9:30p/8:30c.
Reuniting missing people is the life mission of Dunn. "To witness people's lives being changed forever is something I've had the privilege to be a part of for 18 years. No matter how many times I do this, it never gets old. I still get choked up every time."
THE LOCATOR resonated deeply with WE tv viewers, creating an impact that inspired people to "find the pieces" in their own lives (some through WEtv.com's web communities). Season two continues following emotional journeys, with each 30-minute episode profiling an angel case selected from thousands. The stories are diverse, but all are uniquely powerful and poignant, stirring emotions in all of us. This season includes:
A coming-of-age tale as a young woman seeks her father who disappeared from her life 12 years prior.
A father diagnosed with lung cancer who cannot live another day without seeing his son, who he lost in a divorce and custody battle 30 years prior.
A young man, only 25 years old, who has had tragedy strike in his military tour in Iraq and now desperately needs to know who his father is.
A sister looking for her four other sisters who were separated in foster care due to an abusive home situation.

Since the show's premiere last September, the on-air audience has flocked to the online community at WEtv.com/thelocator. WEtv.com/thelocator's "Share Your Story" message boards serve as a virtual meeting place and connection agent for thousands of people across the country. Success stories are popping up via the web community. In one instance, a viewer from San Diego, who had been searching for her birth mother for over 20 years, posted on the site and through another member, who had access to a local adoption registry, was able to connect her with her mom within 48 hours. In another case, a daughter from Georgia who had been looking for her father for eight years found out about a Freedom of Information Act on the WE tv site and used that information to find her father's whereabouts. She located him in Alabama within 20 minutes of submitting her Freedom of Information Act request.
The mini-site also features video of families' personal stories, games -- including a new photo hunt game launching mid-January-- and Troy's weekly blogs, revealing behind-the-scenes moments for every episode. Viewers also can apply online to be selected for THE LOCATOR's next angel case, which is still currently in production throughout 2009.
For WE tv, the series Executive Producer is Kelly Hefner and VP of Programming is Steve Cheskin. THE LOCATOR is produced for WE tv by Asylum Entertainment.
