LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Game 5 of the World Series will resume on Wednesday at the earliest, MLB commissioner Bud Selig confirmed this morning.
FOX will carry the broadcast beginning at 8:37 PM ET, weather permitting of course. Play was suspended last night going into the bottom of the sixth inning with the Phillies and Rays tied at 2.
It's believed the previously announced 30-minute paid political program from Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama will still air prior to the game in Eastern/Central time zones (8:00 PM ET/7:00 PM CT) and after the game in Mountain/Pacific time zones (approximately 10:00 PM MT/9:00 PM PT).
The game replaces a repeat of "Bones" at 8:30/7:30c and a new episode of "'Til Death" at 9:30/8:30c.
New dates for Game 6 and 7, if necessary, have yet to be announced. Game 6 had been slated for Wednesday with Game 7 on Thursday, again if necessary.
