MTV GETS CANDID ABOUT SEX, LOVE AND RELATIONSHIPS WITH FATMAN SCOOP AND HIS WIFE SHANDA ON "MAN AND WIFE" PREMIERING SEPTEMBER 29

Think MTV Engages Viewers in Dialogue and Provides Information and Resources on Sexual Health Topics in the Man and Wife Group

New York, NY (September 23, 2008) For most young people, discussing sex with adults is the beginning of many uncomfortable moments, but not if those adults are hip, open and honest. On Monday, September 29 at 11pm ET/PT sex will get a little more interesting as MTV enlists hip-hop's very own Fatman Scoop and his wife, HIV/AIDS counselor Shanda to discuss sex, love and relationships in an informative and innovative format on the new late-night, stripped series, "Man and Wife."

"'Man and Wife' has gained a huge following online and now we are bringing them to television to discuss sex, love and relationships," said Tony DiSanto, EVP, MTV Programming and Series Development. "Hosts Fatman Scoop and his wife, Shanda are two charismatic and compelling personalities and you can't help but listen and watch everything they say and do as they serve up advice to viewers in their own style."

"Man and Wife" breaks new ground as the first of their kind married couple in the hip-hop genre discussing sex, money, relationships, love, jobs, politics, and dating. The show, which started as a podcast in 2007 (www.manandwife.tv), puts a new twist on late-night talk shows, taking questions from a live audience as well as emails, voicemails, videos and message boards. Hosted by Fatman Scoop, a two-time Grammy winner and his wife, Shanda, an HIV/AIDS counselor, the married couple speaks in a language familiar to young people and approaches them on their terms. With open and candid conversation in a lively and humorous setting, the series makes young people comfortable asking the questions they all want to ask, but never do.

Providing access to reliable sexual health information on a wide range of topics, Think MTV will launch Man and Wife Group where users can discuss everything from protection options and STD prevention, to testing and treatment, to tips on how to communicate with your partner. Think MTV users will also be able to search for health providers and HIV testing centers in their area, and watch and discuss MTV content related to sexual health and relationships. And engaging viewers 24/7, http://manandwife.mtv.com will have a message board for viewers to post comments about the show and ask questions. Every Friday, Fatman Scoop and Shanda will host an exclusive Q&A where they will answer questions and comment on postings from the board.
