SOAPnet ANNOUNCES THE ACQUISITION OF FOUR ADDITIONAL MOVIES FOR ITS "SUNDAY NIGHT MOVIE" FRANCHISE

Brad Pitt, Bette Midler, George Carlin, Matthew Modine, Nick Nolte, Richard Dreyfuss and Little Richard Headline All-Star Casts

SOAPnet announced today the acquisition of four additional movies for its "Sunday Night Movie" franchise. Movies currently air Sundays at 10:00 p.m., ET/PT, and the four new films will begin airing on Sunday, September 7. The titles include "Outrageous Fortune," starring Bette Midler, Shelley Long, Peter Coyote and George Carlin; "Gross Anatomy," starring Matthew Modine and Daphne Zuniga; "The Favor," starring Brad Pitt, and Bill Pullman; and "Down and Out in Beverly Hills," starring Nick Nolte, Bette Midler, Richard Dreyfuss and Little Richard. The four films were acquired from Disney*ABC Domestic Television and MGM.

A description of the movies follows, in the order in which they'll air:

"Down and Out in Beverly Hills" premieres September 7 and stars Nick Nolte, Bette Midler, Richard Dreyfuss and Little Richard. A homeless man turns a Beverly Hills family's life upside down after he tries to drown himself in their pool.

"The Favor" premieres September 14 and stars Brad Pitt, Harley Jane Kozak, Elizabeth McGovern, Bill Pullman, Larry Miller and Ken Wahl. Kathy begins to question whether or not she should have married her husband Peter or stayed with ex-boyfriend Tom, so she asks her best friend, Emily, to start dating Tom and report back to her.

"Gross Anatomy" premieres September 21 and stars Matthew Modine and Daphne Zuniga. The predecessor to "Grey's Anatomy," this dramedy follows a ne'er-do-well med student who meets the woman of his dreams�his lab partner�only to find she wants nothing to do with him and his slacker ways.

"Outrageous Fortune," premieres September 28 and stars Bette Midler, Shelley Long, Peter Coyote and George Carlin. Opposites Lauren and Sandy discover they are both dating the same man when he goes missing. They decide to team up to look for him, only to find themselves being chased by everyone from the CIA to the KGB to the police and even the phone company.

SOAPnet offers same-day episodes of popular daytime dramas including "All My Children," "Days of our Lives," "One Life to Live," "General Hospital" and "The Young and the Restless" at night for convenient viewing. In addition, the network provides original programs, including "MVP," "Relative Madness," "General Hospital: Night Shift," and the biography shows "Soapography" and "1 Day With..." Wrapped in a 24-hour environment, SOAPnet also offers primetime classics including "The O.C.," "One Tree Hill" and "Beverly Hills 90210," as well as former daytime series "Port Charles" and "Ryan's Hope."
