JODI ROTH PROMOTED TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, SPECIALS, CBS ENTERTAINMENT
Jodi Roth has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Specials, CBS Entertainment, it was announced by Jack Sussman Executive Vice President, Specials, Music and Live Events, CBS Entertainment, to whom she reports.
In her position, Roth will continue to work with Sussman on CBS's annual awards shows including "The Grammy Awards," "The Tony Awards," "The ACMA's" and "The Kennedy Center Honors," as well as developing and overseeing production of all primetime specials and holiday shows.
Most recently, Roth was responsible for overseeing the successful THE PRICE IS RIGHT MILLION DOLLAR SPECTACULAR primetime specials featuring new host Drew Carey, and "Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials," hosted by Jim Nantz.
Roth joined CBS in July 2000 as Director, Specials and was upped to Vice President in 2003.
"Jodi's background as a development executive and as a producer has been invaluable to the many successful projects she's worked on," said Sussman. "She has proved to be a hands-on executive with strong working relationships with talent and the production community and I look forward to many more contributions from her to our growing slate of projects."
Prior to CBS, Roth had been director of development at Nickelodeon since 1997. An industry veteran, Roth's credits also include "The Maury Povich Show" and "Inside Edition," as well as producing for MTV, VH-1 and Lifetime.
