ONE MISSOURI FARMER HAS A FIELD DAY WITH TEN WOMEN FROM THE BIG CITY WHEN THE CW'S "FARMER WANTS A WIFE" PREMIERES ON APRIL 30

International Hit Reality Series From The Producers of "American Idol" Introduces The Farmer and The Ten Women Competing To Win His Heart

April 1, 2008 (Burbank, California) - "Farmer Wants A Wife," The CW's new comedic reality series designed to help one farm boy find the city girl of his dreams, makes its U.S. debut on Wednesday, April 30 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET). From FremantleMedia North America, this international reality phenomenon has already established itself as a smash hit in numerous countries across Europe, ranking #1 in its timeslot in The Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Finland, France, Germany and Australia.

"Farmer Wants a Wife" takes ten women out of the comfort zone of their city lives and brings them to the wholesome world of a modern-day farmer. All the action takes place in the farmer's hometown in rural Missouri. The ladies will have to impress him with their heart and their newfound "love" of the country life, or risk being sent back to the city. Are they ready for the realities of life and work on a farm - driving a tractor, taking care of very large farm animals, sewing quilts and attending bingo night? Through a series of challenges, group activities, shocking eliminations and cozy dates, these uptown women will see how they match up with a down-home guy on the path to true love.
