ABC.COM LAUNCHES ALL-NEW ONLINE FEATURES FOR "DANCING WITH THE STARS" IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE SEASON SIX PREMIERE

New Features Include Fan Spotlight Dances UGV, Dance Studio with Carrie Ann Inaba, Hosted Weekly Show, a Widget, a WAP Site and More

In conjunction with the Season Six premiere of the hit series "Dancing with the Stars," ABC.com is launching additional features on its popular website to engage and entertain the show's online fans.

Now viewers can show off their dance moves by uploading their own videos in the Fan Spotlight Dances UGV (user generated video) section, and website visitors can watch and rate the performances.

Also new to the website is Dance Studio, featuring "Dancing with the Stars" judge Carrie Ann Inaba. Each week Carrie Ann, along with two professional dancers, will show you how to perform dances from the show -- including the cha cha, waltz, fox trot and tango -- just like the pros.

A new hosted weekly show will feature commentary, reviews and analysis from "Dancing with the Stars" insiders and recap the week's performances and scores, as well as highlight the celebrity confessionals, along with the UGV videos.

A new fitness section will launch using content from the recent book, "Dancing with the Stars: Jive, Samba and Tango Your Way into the Best Shape of Your Life," that will give fans a detailed look at select workout routines that the dancers use to stay in shape and prepare for performances.

Other multimedia additions include, the return of the popular Fantasy Dancing Game; an embeddable widget that fans can post to their own blogs, and social networking pages that will feature video clips, photos, news alerts and info on the professional dancers and celebrities; an all-new mobile WAP version of the website at m.dwts.abc.com that will allow fans to follow the action on their mobile phone or wireless device, and if you text "DANCING" to ABCTV (22288), you will get the top five dancers and their scores; exclusive backstage interviews with the stars and their partners; a music guide of songs featured on the show; and of course you can vote for your favorite couple with the Live Weekly Vote.

About Dancing with the Stars

"Dancing with the Stars'" sixth season will premiere Monday, March 17 with an hour and a half premiere (8:00-9:32 p.m., ET). Hosted by Tom Bergeron ("America's Funniest Home Videos") and Samantha Harris ("E! Entertainment"), the celebrities will perform choreographed dance routines which will be judged by renowned Ballroom judge Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.

"Dancing with the Stars" is the U.S. version of the BBC's international smash hit series, "Strictly Come Dancing." This version is produced in America by BBC Worldwide. Conrad Green serves as executive producer and Rob Wade and Matilda Zoltowski are co-executive producers.
