FX Teams with eBay for The Riches Charity Auction

Unprecedented Charity Auction Will Award $100,000 to the Highest Bidder

Package at www.eBay.com/TheRiches Includes Lunch with Star Minnie Driver

All Proceeds From Winning Bid Will Be Donated to Oxfam America

LOS ANGELES -- If you had the opportunity to get $100,000 by bidding on an online charity auction, how high would you go? $5,000? $10,000? $25,000? What sounds like a ruse will soon become a reality, as FX and eBay have teamed up to launch The Riches Charity Auction, which will run from March 13-23 at www.eBay.com/TheRiches. The package includes $100,000 and an opportunity to meet star Minnie Driver. Season two of The Riches, starring Driver and Eddie Izzard and produced by FX Productions and FOX TV Studios, will premiere on FX Tuesday, March 18 at 10 PM ET/PT.

Visitors can go to the official auction site at www.eBay.com/TheRiches for the opportunity to bid on "The Ultimate Riches Experience Package." In an unprecedented move, FX has included $100,000 in the package, meaning the winning bidder will be awarded $100,000. This is the first time in eBay's history that visitors are able to bid for a large sum of money. Also included in the package will be lunch with Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominated star Minnie Driver, a signed poster, script and season one box set DVD and an authentic prop from the set of The Riches.

All proceeds from the winning bid will be donated to Oxfam America, a charity that Driver is an Ambassador for. Oxfam America is an international relief and development organization that creates lasting solutions to poverty, hunger and injustice. Together with individuals and local groups in more than 120 countries, Oxfam America helps people overcome poverty, fights for social justice and saves lives.

"This could be the deal of a lifetime for someone," said Stephanie Gibbons, FX Executive Vice President of Marketing & On-Air Promotions. "On The Riches, it is all about the big score, but this show has heart. With this auction we're able to tie in both themes, giving someone the chance to get the money while making a difference. We couldn't be more excited to work with eBay and see this auction come to fruition."

"As the show's characters lie, cheat and steal to live the 'perfect' life, this eBay charity auction provides people with their own chance at attaining the American dream, without any of the con-artist consequences," said Karen Bard, eBay pop culture expert. "The winning bidder may have the chance to hit the proverbial jackpot, all in the name of charity!"

The charity auction is featured at www.eBay.com/TheRiches from March 13-23, 2008 and is listed through eBay Giving Works, eBay's dedicated program for charity listings. One hundred percent of the proceeds will benefit Oxfam America. The charity auction is being managed on eBay by Auction Cause, a premier online auction management agency specializing in high-profile design, strategy, and cause marketing for corporations and nonprofits worldwide.
