COUPLES NO MORE! AFTER A SURPRISE TWIST IS REVEALED, "BIG BROTHER" HOUSEGUESTS GIVE ALLISON THE BOOT

Couples Are Split Up and Houseguests Learn They Will Now Play the Game as Individuals

Ryan Quicksall Wins HOH

In a surprise twist that sent one Houseguest packing instead of two, Allison Nichols became the first Houseguest ousted solo from the BIG BROTHER House this season, leaving behind her partner Ryan Quicksall.

On Tuesday, Matt and Natalie won the Power of Veto and took themselves off of the block. Heads of Household Joshuah and Sharon immediately nominated Sheila and Adam to replace them, joining Ryan and Allison on the chopping block.

During last night's live show, host Julie Chen announced the vote and the evicted couple, Ryan and Allison, said their goodbyes. However, in a surprise twist, when they attempted to leave the House, they discovered the door was locked. Chen then instructed Houseguests to return to their seats and informed them that they would now be playing the game as individuals. The Houseguests immediately had to vote to evict one person, choosing between the two individuals, Allison and Ryan, they had just evicted as a couple.

During last night's live broadcast, Allison Nichols, the 28-year-old pharmaceutical sales representative from Boston, Mass. was evicted by a unanimous vote. After leaving BIG BROTHER, Allison was interviewed by Julie Chen about her experience in the House.

After last night's eviction, the Houseguests, playing as singles for the first time this season, competed in a game called "Time After Time," in which they were asked a series of true/false questions about the order in which events have occurred in the house. Houseguests were eliminated with one incorrect answer and the last Houseguest remaining would become Head of Household. Ryan Quicksall, the 27-year-old college student from Columbus, Ohio won the coveted position.

The Houseguests:

Adam Jasinski, Delray Beach, Fla. via Cherry Hill, NJ

Alex Coladonato, Staten Island, NY - Evicted 2/27 with Amanda

Amanda Hansen, Fridley, Minn. - Evicted 2/27 with Alex
