TLC SHARES THE SECRET LIFE OF A SOCCER MOM

All-New Series Hosted By Tracey Gold

Los Angeles Being a stay-at-home mother is an all-consuming careerand while most moms are very fulfilled by this choice, other women wonder about the dreams they left behind. TLC's new series THE SECRET LIFE OF A SOCCER MOM offers those women a chance to answer "what if" when it gives a full-time mom the chance to secretly live the life she gave up to raise her family. Hosted by Tracey Gold (Growing Pains), THE SECRET LIFE OF A SOCCER MOM premieres Monday, March 3, 2008 at 10 PM, part of a lineup that includes the smash hits LITTLE PEOPLE BIG WORLD and JON & KATE PLUS 8.

Each hour-long episode profiles the story of a mom as she experiences what her life could have been like if she had chosen to juggle career and family. Guided by Tracey, Mom spends one week shifting from the carpool lane to the fast lane giving her the opportunity to get back to the career she left behind. At the close of the episode, she makes a spectacular reveal, telling her family that she has been living a secret life, and she is asked to make a surprising choice: pursue her new dual life, or return to her family knowing that she's made the right choice after all.

"Almost every woman experiences the pull between becoming a full-time mom or juggling both family and work. This show will give us the chance to learn what sacrifices and rewards there are in making this challenging and unique decision," explains Brant Pinvidic, SVP Programming, TLC. "Each episode ends up being a remarkable voyage as we see them accomplish goals they never thought possible and then make the decision about which path they should pursue."

During this season, viewers will meet women like Adrian, a mother of three who dreams of making it big in the fashion industry; Kathryn, who met her husband in culinary school and now wants to see if she can handle the heat of a professional kitchen; and Jeannie who wonders if being a police officer like her husband will be as rewarding as raising her four children. Each episode of THE SECRET LIFE OF A SOCCER MOM will bring viewers along on an exciting and emotional journey as these mom experience life both at home and work.

"As a working mom myself, I can completely relate to the hard choices we face when balancing family and career," explains Tracey Gold. "This show is very inspirational and gives these women many who thought they'd never have return to their careers a chance to see what they are capable of."

THE SECRET LIFE OF A SOCCER MOM is a production of GRB Entertainment, one of the world's leading producers and distributors of non-fiction programs. It will be simulcast on TLC and TLC HD beginning March 3, 2008.
