Chris Brown, LeAnn Rimes, Tony Bennett, Queen Latifah, Usher and will.i.am join previously announced performers Beyonc�, Carrie Underwood, Sir Elton John, Fergie, Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, John Williams, Marc Anthony, Mary J. Blige and Nelly, on MOVIES ROCK, a new entertainment special celebrating the powerful relationship between music and film, to be broadcast Friday, Dec. 7 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
The first annual MOVIES ROCK is a two-hour live event television special that will celebrate every dimension of music's leading role in moviemaking, from singing starlets to scene-stealing rappers, to directors whose indelible musical tastes redefine the way we listen to music and watch films.
The live event will take place at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Dec. 2. The Entertainment Industry Foundation will be a beneficiary of the project.
MOVIES ROCK is being produced by Cond� Nast Media Group, the Producers Guild of America and the Entertainment Industry Foundation. Cond� Nast Media Group President Richard D. Beckman, and PGA board members Kathleen Kennedy and Bruce Cohen will serve as executive producers, along with Don Mischer of Don Mischer Productions.
