THE "BIG BROTHER 8" HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD CHOOSES BIG PRIZES OVER THE COVETED POWER OF VETO
The machinations of the Big Brother 8 house continued as this week's Head of Household, Dustin Erikstrup, a 22-year-old Chicago resident, chose to take an all-expense paid trip to Barbados and a cash prize of $5,000 rather than the coveted prize of the Power of Veto competition. As Head of Household, Dustin nominated Kail Harbick and Jen Johnson for eviction and, had he taken the Power of Veto, could have changed his mind and nominated someone else or ensured that his original nominations stayed the same. As a result, Houseguest Jameka Cameron, who later won the Power of Veto, chose to remove Jen as a nominee, which made it necessary for Dustin to put another Houseguest on the block. In a surprise backdoor move, Dustin then nominated Nick Starcevic to take Jen's place. The eviction contest between Kail and Nick will be decided live on Thursday, Aug. 2 (8:00-9:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.
