The FALLEN Trilogy Weekend Kicks Off with a Two-Hour Encore Presentation of Part One, Followed by Four All-New Episodes of Parts Two and Three on August 4 and 5
Burbank, CA (June 28, 2007) The classic tale of good vs. evil told with out-this-world action and special effects sequences coupled with intriguing drama and romance, FALLEN will return to ABC Family for a Fallen Trilogy Weekend on August 3 thru 5, 2007, beginning with the encore presentation of Part One. Parts Two and Three will air on August 4 and 5. All three parts will air from 8:00 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. FALLEN stars Paul Wesley ("Everwood," "Smallville") as Aaron Corbett and Bryan Cranston ("Malcolm In The Middle") as Lucifer.
Based on the series of hit books by Tom Sniegoski, FALLEN chronicles the phenomenal journey of Aaron, an 18-year-old Nephilim (half-angel/half human), as he struggles to come to terms with his role as The Redeemer and is drawn into a world where angels walk among us. This story delves into the mythology of the fallen angels and their offspring, who are looking for the chosen one, The Redeemer, to send them back into Heaven. Along the way, he encounters the ultimate fallen angel, Lucifer, and is challenged in ways he never expected.
In Part One, which originally aired July 2006, Aarons discovery that he is not only a Nephilim but that he is The Redeemer forces him to leave behind his adoptive family, who have been put in harms way, leaving viewers to wonder what will happen next as Aaron heads out into the world with only Camael (Rick Worthy) to protect him.
With all-new hours, Parts Two and Three rejoin Aaron and Camael as they to clash in epic angelfire battles with The Powers, who continue to be fervent in their crusade to obliterate Aaron. Now that The Fallen know Aaron is The Redeemer, they seek him out at every turn. But each time he redeems a fallen angel an incredible force of energy emanates and The Powers are drawn to them once again. All the while, Aarons inner turmoil rages on as he grapples with the moral fortitude of his actions.
Amidst all of the melee and confusion, Aaron seeks to find a bit of normalcy and escapes to a nearby college. But even in that pursuit, he gets pulled into an intriguing relationship with a professor, who shows a sinister side revealing he has an imprisoned Nephilim. Much to Aarons surprise, the captive is his high school sweetheart, Vilma (Fernanda Andrade). Armed with the knowledge they share this new common bond, their romantic relationship reignites and Aaron helps Vilma escape.
Almost immediately after joining forces, Aaron and Vilma are attacked by The Powers when suddenly a stranger comes to their aide. The stranger reveals himself to be one of The Fallen, Azazel (Hal Ozsan) who claims to know someone with the answers Aaron is seeking about his past. In spite of Vilmas hesitation to trust Azazel, Aarons desire to know more overwhelms him and he decides to follow Azazel.
After traveling treacherous terrain and with eager anticipation, Aaron finally meets up with mysterious being, who turns out to be Lucifer himself, the ultimate fallen angel. As it turns out, Lucifer wants exactly what the other fallen angels want from Aaron redemption which is the most crucial challenge for Aaron. What will Aaron do when Lucifer asks to be sent back to heaven?
Produced by Bad Angels Productions in association with ABC Family, the four additional hours are being directed by music video director Kevin Kerslake with scripts by Tim Huddleston and executive produced by Edward Bates and Rochelle Bates, with Ron McLeod serving as producer.
