CBS Pulls 'Armed & Famous,' the CW Confirms 'Reba' End
By Brian Ford Sullivan (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- CBS is putting "Armed & Famous" on the shelf as the network has pulled the series from its schedule effective immediately.

Repeats of "CSI: NY" ("Risk") and "Criminal Minds" (presumably an encore of its Super Bowl episode) will fill the Wednesday, 8:00/7:00c hour on January 31 and February 7 respectively until "Jericho" returns on February 14.

"Armed's" most recent airing drew a 1.4 rating among adults 18-49 (according to Nielsen's fast national data), barely edging out the CW's "Beauty and the Geek" (1.3 rating) for fourth place in its time slot. Said number was also less than half of its premiere audience on January 10 (2.9 rating).

It's not clear when or if the Eye plans to burn off the three remaining episodes of the series.

Meanwhile over on the CW, the netlet has confirmed the series will wrap its six-season run with back-to-back episodes on Sunday, February 18 starting at 7:00/6:00c. Here's how the network details the installments - "The Housewarming" and "The Kids Are Alright":

"REBA" SAYS FAREWELL AFTER SIX SEASONS ON THE AIR - In the first half-hour of the finale, Cheyenne (JoAnna Garcia) and Van (Steve Howey) confirm Reba's (Reba McEntire) worst nightmare - that she is becoming their own version of Barbra Jean (Melissa Peterman), dropping by their new house unannounced. Also, when Barbra Jean has a meltdown in the middle of her weather report, Brock (Christopher Rich) interprets her emotions as a sign that she isn't ready to give up on their marriage. In the second half-hour of the finale, Van accidentally starts a fire at his and Cheyenne's new house, forcing them to temporarily move back in with Reba. Realizing they may not be ready for such a big responsibility, they ask Reba if they can stay with her, but she surprises everyone by turning them down. Barbra Jean seriously considers accepting a job offer from a station in Arkansas, so it's left to Reba to get her to turn down the offer and stay with her family where she belongs. Scarlett Pomers and Mitch Holleman also star. The first half-hour was directed by Will Mackenzie and written by Pat Bullard (#6AES12). The second half-hour was directed by Will Mackenzie and written by Chris Atwood (#6AES13).

"Reba's" end comes in spite of ranking as the CW's most-watched comedy (3.67 million viewers), ahead of all four of its Monday entries - "Everybody Hates Chris" (2.92 million), "All of Us" (2.67 million), "Girlfriends" (2.71 million) and "The Game" (2.45 million).
