EDWARD FURLONG ("TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY") JOINS "CSI: NY" IN A RECURRING ROLE

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 30 -- Edward Furlong joins the cast of CSI: NY in a recurring role as Shane Casey, a young man embroiled in a case where a serial killer uses the codes and stories found on a series of trendy t-shirts as inspiration for his grisly murders. He makes his first appearance in the series' fourth episode, titled "Hung Out to Dry," on CSI: NY, Wednesday, Oct. 11 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Edward Furlong is best known for his work in the film "Terminator 2: Judgment Day," which was his first acting part. He was approached by a casting agent who suggested him and subsequently cast him in the role of John Connor. His other film credits include "American Heart," for which he was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actor, "American History X," "Pecker," "Detroit Rock City," "The Crow: Wicked Prayer," "The Knights of the Quest," "Visitation," "Animal Factory," "A Home of Our Own," "The Grass Harp," " Before and After," and the upcoming "Jimmy and Judy," with his real life love interest, Rachel Bella.

His appearance on CSI: NY marks his first television role.

CSI: NY, a crime drama inspired by the Number One drama series, "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," is about forensic investigators who use high-tech science to follow the evidence and solve crimes in the Big Apple. The series stars Gary Sinise, Melina Kanakaredes, Eddie Cahill, Carmine Giovinazzo, Anna Belknap and Hill Harper.
