WINNERS OF "TEEN CHOICE 2006" ANNOUNCED

Over 14.7 Million Votes Cast

The following were honored at TEEN CHOICE 2006 at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA, Sunday, Aug. 20 (8:00-10:00 PM ET Live/PT Tape-Delayed) on FOX. Over the course of two months, teens logged on to Teenpeople.com, MySpace.com, IGN.com and FOX.com to cast approximately 14.7 million votes in support of their favorite celebrities in film, television, music, sports and fashion.

o Co-host Jessica Simpson's win tonight for her breakout performance in "The Dukes of Hazzard" gives her six total Surfboards.

o "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" garnered seven awards in the movie category, including Choice Movie, Action Adventure, Choice Rumble and Choice Movie Actor.

o The cast of "High School Musical" received their first nomination, and tonight the rookies walked away with three Surfboards for Choice TV Show, Choice TV Breakout Star and Choice TV Chemistry.

o Ashton Kutcher has amassed 12 Surfboards - the most by any individual - and has won in such categories as Choice TV Personality ("Punk'd"), Choice Male Hottie and Choice TV Actor, Comedy ("That '70s Show").

o Adam Sandler has won 10 Teen Choice Awards since 1999; this year's award is his fifth Choice Comedian win.
