BET's 'New Face' Winners, Rocsi and Terrence Sit Comfy on the Couch as New Hosts of 106 & PARK
**Weekdays From 6 - 7:30 p.m. ET/PT**
NEW YORK, Aug. 2 -- With only three weeks as co-hosts of
BET's # 1 countdown show, 106 & PARK, Terrence and Rocsi have stolen the
show and made it their own. Already back bending with Beyonce, freestyling
with Jamie Foxx, and picking out wedding cakes with Janet Jackson, these
two inject a new flavor and enthusiasm to the network's highest rated music
series. Chosen from a pool of over 5,000 applicants in BET's nationwide
search, Rocsi and Terrence have the confidence and zest sure to keep
television's livest show abuzz. Incepted on July 10, the duo proudly took
the helm of television's leading video countdown show with plans to steer
it towards continued success and longevity.
"The world of music is ever-evolving, and young and eager talents such
as Rocsi and Terrence are the perfect choice to keep up with the changes,"
said Stephen G. Hill, BET's EVP of Music Programming. "We know our audience
will embrace them warmly."
Rocsi comes to BET after entertaining listeners for over two years at
Chicago's R&B and hip-hop station, Power 92. Rocsi, better known to her
listeners as the "Midday Mami," is a Bayou State native who loves music,
sports and salsa dancing. Having interviewed countless celebrities in her
radio career, Rocsi is more than prepared for her new 106 gig.
Terrence, a graduate of North Carolina A&T, has always wanted to be on
television, and being selected as one of BET's "New Faces" was just the
break he was looking for. After auditioning for the "New Faces" search in
New York and not making the impression that would result in a call-back,
Terrence made his way down to the Atlanta auditions for a second try. In
Atlanta, Terrence won over BET executives with his infectious personality
and down-to-earth, street vibe; two things that are sure to please the 106
audience.
Fans of Julissa and Big Tigger, can still catch them on BET; Julissa
can be seen weekdays from 3:00pm - 4:00pm on THE STUDENT CENTER, while Big
Tigger will stay a part of the BET family and serve as a correspondent on
many of the network's specials. BET's 106 & PARK airs Monday - Friday from
6:00pm - 7:30pm (ET/PT).
