CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF, AMERICA IS NOT A DEMOCRACY! ITS A CHUCK-TATOR-SHIP! NINE-HOUR MARATHON OF WALKER, TEXAS RANGER PACKS A PUNCH ON HALLMARK CHANNEL, MAY 29
Original Walker-isms On Hallmark Channel and www.hallmarkchannel.com
From a lowly spec website, to newspapers, to late-night spoofing on Late Night
with Conan OBrien, and now a staggering 100 million hits on the internet, the folkloric
myth of Chuck Norris the only hand that can beat a royal flush star of Walker,
Texas Ranger, continues to spread around the globe.
Norriss legend-stoking comes to Hallmark Channel, Memorial Day, May 29,
in a nine-hour marathon of Walker, Texas Ranger (6 p.m.-3 a.m. ET/PT). To
promote the marathon, Hallmark Channel and hallmarkchannel.com will launch a series
of original promotional spots spoofing Sheriff Cordell Walkers famed four-square
image called What Would Walker Do? In the promotional spots, a dangerous
situation will overtake Walker. Viewers seeking to answer the question, What Would
Walker Do? will be directed to www.hallmarkchannel.com.
Walker, Texas Ranger has delivered a punishing blow to competitors of the
Hallmark Channel and has been the flashpoint that ignited our primetime schedule,
says David Kenin, Executive Vice President, Programming, Hallmark Channels.
Im a Chuck Norris lionizer, Mr. Kenin continues, I have seen Walker lead a
horse to water and make him drink. His roundhouse kick has brought awesome power
to Hallmark Channels lineup. I hope to do something else with Chuck, and I absolutely
believe in the axiom that Chuck Norris does not sleep. He waits!
The Walker, Texas Ranger Counts to Infinity Campaign is under the creative
direction of the team of Marvin Dorson, Senior Vice President, Creative Services,
Hallmark Channels.
Walker, Texas Ranger airs weekdays on Hallmark Channel (7 p.m.
and 8 p.m. ET/PT).
