LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Just three days after rejoining NBC's schedule, the Peacock has put "Joey" back on hiatus.
Just under 4.0 million viewers tuned into the show's March 7 return, including a paltry 1.4 rating/4 share among adults 18-49. The latter number was nearly beaten by a repeat of "Gilmore Girls" on the WB, while the former was barely half of its average from its old Thursday, 8:00/7:00c home this season (7.28 million viewers).
Scheduling updates released this afternoon indicate the network plans to fill the Tuesday, 8:00/7:00c hour with back-to-back episodes of "Most Outrageous Moments" for the foreseeable future.
It's not clear when or if "Joey" will return to the Peacock's schedule.
Meanwhile over on ABC, a network spokesperson has confirmed its midseason drama "The Evidence" has been trimmed from 13 episodes to six.
No specific reason was given for the cutback. The series, which stars Rob Estes and Orlando Jones, is set for a four-week run on Wednesdays at 10:00/9:00c beginning March 22.
