MICHELLE WILLIAMS OF DESTINY'S CHILD GUEST STARS AS AN HIV-POSITIVE RECORD EXECUTIVE IN A THREE-EPISODE STORY ARC OF UPN'S "HALF & HALF"
The Story Arc Supports the KNOW HIV/AIDS Initiative, A Joint Venture Between CBS Corporation And Viacom, In Partnership With The Kaiser Family Foundation
UPN's comedy HALF & HALF will feature a three-episode HIV storyline guest starring Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child in which she plays Naomi Dawson, a rival record producer who is HIV positive with whom Spencer (Chico Benymon) is pursuing a relationship. The three-episode arc airs in consecutive weeks beginning Monday, February 13 (9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on UPN.
After working together on a special project, Naomi and Spencer find themselves spending extra time together and getting very comfortable with one another. As the couple grows closer, Naomi unexpectedly begins to back away from the relationship. However, after getting a not-so-subtle push from Mona (Rachel True), who does not approve of the coupling, Naomi reveals to Spencer that she is HIV positive. As the episodes progress, Spencer reacts in a way that Naomi doesn't expect, and she is forced to examine how she approaches relationships as a woman who is HIV positive.
For this three-episode story arc, the producers of HALF & HALF worked closely with KNOW HIV/AIDS, a joint venture between CBS Corporation and Viacom, in partnership with the Kaiser Family Foundation.
Yvette Lee Bowser ("A Different World," "Living Single" and "For Your Love") serves as executive producer. Jeffrey Klarik ("Mad About You") created the series. The series is produced by Sister Lee Productions, Inc., in association with Eye Productions Inc.
