Lisa from NYC Wins Be Jerry For A Day Contest
Catch Lisa co-hosting ?The Jerry Springer Show? Wednesday November 30th
November 29, 2005 Chicago, IL -- After auditioning thousands of prospective hopefuls, the winner for the national "BE JERRY FOR A DAY" contest is Lisa from New York City.
The contest spanned eight months and traveled to 10 U.S. cities, auditioning people who thought they would make the perfect co-host of "The Jerry Springer Show." Five finalists were chosen and then America voted for the winner at www.jerryspringertv.com and via text messaging.
Lisa, who is 22 and a senior in college, will co-host tomorrow's episode of "The Jerry Springer Show" with Springer himself. The episode airs in national syndication (check local listings.)
"You gotta tune in and watch Lisa co-host the show," says Springer. "She doesn't have glasses and a big nose like myself, but despite that, she did a heck of a job."
The Jerry Springer Show is currently in its 15th season in national syndication, airing in more than 180 U.S. markets and 50 countries around the globe. Richard Dominick is the Executive Producer and the show is distributed globally by NBC Universal Television Distribution.
