CBS.com to Stream Episodes of New Suspense Drama "Threshold"

CBS.COM TO STREAM EPISODES OF NEW SUSPENSE DRAMA "THRESHOLD"

"Threshold" Marks the First Time CBS.com Has Offered Rebroadcasts of Entertainment Programming On the Internet CBS.com, the official website of the CBS Television Network, will stream three episodes of the new suspense drama THRESHOLD, beginning today Wednesday, Nov. 2.

This will mark the first time CBS.com has offered episodes of scripted series programming on the Internet via free video streaming. The THRESHOLD rebroadcasts will be available on CBS.com to Internet users in the United States and be presented without commercials.

The initial offering will be episode three of THRESHOLD entitled "Blood of the Children" (original airdate 9/23/05), available during a three-day window on CBS.com from Nov. 2-4. This Friday's (11/4) broadcast will be available for streaming from Nov. 9-11 while next week's broadcast (11/11) will be available from Nov. 16-18.

"We continue to seek and identify new ways in which traditional media and new media can work together to help each other's respective businesses," said Nancy Tellem, President of the CBS Paramount Network Television Entertainment Group. "The goal here is to recruit new viewers to 'Threshold,' help existing viewers catch up if they've missed some episodes and drive more traffic to CBS.com."

"'Threshold' is an exciting new drama with a compelling mystery component that lends itself to Internet audience appeal. In addition, these rebroadcasts on CBS.com will serve as an ideal companion to the unique behind-the-scenes material we also feature for 'Threshold,' as well as a great programming complement to the slate of original programming we have on the site based on 'Survivor,' 'The Amazing Race' and UPN's 'Top Model.'"

Through the first six weeks of the new season, THRESHOLD ranks Number One in its Friday (9:00-10:00 PM) time period in adults 25-54 (3.0/08) and Number Two in viewers and adults 18-49 (2.2/07), averaging almost eight million viewers per episode. Compared to the time period last season, THRESHOLD is up +3% in adults 25-54 (from 2.9/08), +10% in adults 18-49 (from 2.0/06) and +18% in adults 18-34 (1.3/05 from 1.1/04).

THRESHOLD is a suspenseful drama about a team of experts who are assembled when the U.S. Navy discovers an extra terrestrial craft has landed in the mid-Atlantic Ocean. Carla Gugino stars as Dr. Molly Anne Caffrey, a government contingency analyst whose job is to devise response plans for worst-case scenarios. In a single instant, her life changes when her plan for responding to an alien invasion � THRESHOLD � is activated by the government.

THRESHOLD, starring Carla Gugino, Charles S. Dutton, Brian Van Holt, Rob Benedict, Brent Spiner and Peter Dinklage, is produced by Paramount Network Television. David Heyman, David S. Goyer and Brannon Braga are the executive producers.

The following are storyline descriptions for THRESHOLD episodes to be featured on CBS.com:

"Blood of the Children" (Nov. 2-4) -- Molly and her Red Team investigate the bizarre murder of a man at a fast food restaurant, which leads them to suspect the involvement of a group of military school students. Bill Eagles directed the episode written by Anne McGrail.

"Revelations" (Nov. 9-11) -- Molly and Cavennaugh encounter some bizarre happenings when they head to the hometown of a missing Big Horn crew member to investigate the disappearance of a Threshold field agent. Tom Wright directed the episode written by Amy Berg and Andrew Colville.

"Progeny" (Nov. 16-18) -- When three women from completely different walks of life show signs of being infected, Molly and the Red Team discover a chilling connection among all of them and must then locate the common cause. Elizabeth Berkley ("Showgirls") guest stars. David Jackson directed the episode written by Barbara Nance.
