NICK LAZZARINI IS CROWNED WINNER OF "SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE"
Melody Lacayanga, Ashle Dawson and Jamile McGee Eliminated As America's Vote is Revealed
Last night, in the live season finale of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, America's vote was revealed and Nick Lazzarini was crowned the winner of FOX's ultimate dance competition. Lazzarini dances away with a $100,000 cash prize, along with an apartment rent-free for one year in New York City. Dance finalists Melody Lacayanga, Ashle Dawson and Jamile McGee were eliminated during the course of the show which aired Wednesday, Oct. 5 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
Lazzarini lives in Van Nuys, CA. Nick is a trained dancer in jazz, lyrical, hip hop, ballet and modern. He spent two years at the Dance Company of San Francisco. His most memorable dance experience was when he toured Europe with the dance company RAW.
Judge/choreographer Dan Karaty said of Nick's performance in the competition, "I didn't think you could pull off hip hop and the pasa doble like you did" and Mary Murphy described him as "fantastic."
