NBC Shakes Up Wednesday Schedule After Two Weeks

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- NBC is shaking up its Wednesday schedule just two weeks into the 2005-06 season.

Freshman series "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart" and "E-Ring" will swap time periods starting next week according to scheduling updates released by the network Friday afternoon.

"E-Ring" will now lead off the night at 8:00/7:00c followed by "Martha" at 9:00/8:00c. "Law & Order," the night's anchor, will stay put at 10:00/9:00c.

Both "Martha" and "E-Ring" could only muster a fourth place finish among adults 18-49 on Wednesday according to Nielsen's preliminary numbers for the night, beating only new episodes of "America's Next Top Model" and "Veronica Mars" on UPN and repeats of "One Tree Hill" on the WB in the key demographic.

Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and David McKenna are the executive producers of "E-Ring," from Jerry Bruckheimer Television in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Mark Burnett, Jay Bienstock and Donald Trump are the executive producers of "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart," a co-production of Mark Burnett Productions and Trump Productions.
