CBS's New Lineup Is Number One on the First Friday of the New Season

CBS'S NEW LINEUP IS NUMBER ONE ON THE FIRST FRIDAY OF THE NEW SEASON

"Ghost Whisperer," "Threshold" and "Numb3rs" All Win Their Time Periods in Viewers and Key Demographics

"Ghost Whisperer" Is The Night's Most Watched Program and Highest Rated In Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 Tied With "Numb3rs"

CBS's new lineup was number one on the first Friday of the new season as the premiere of GHOST WHISPERER, the second episode of THRESHOLD and the season premiere of NUMB3RS all won their time periods in viewers and key demographics, according to final national Nielsen ratings for Sept. 23.

CBS was first in households (6.6/11), viewers (10.34m), adults 25-54 (3.9/11) and adults 18-49 (2.8/09). Compared to the same night last year, CBS was up +6% in households, +26% in adults 25-54 and +22% in adults 18-49.

GHOST WHISPERER (P) won its time period in households (7.2/13), viewers (11.25m), adults 25-54 (4.1/12) and adults 18-49 (3.0/10). This is CBS's best delivery in the time period by a regularly scheduled CBS program in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 since 2/20/04 ("Joan of Arcadia").

Compared to the time period last year (the second season premiere of "Joan of Arcadia"), GHOST WHISPERER was up +26% in households, +37% in adults 25-54 and +25% in adults 18-49. GHOST WHISPERER is the night's most watched program and tied for #1 with NUMB3RS in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

The time period premiere THRESHOLD (P) was first in viewers (8.60m), adults 25-54 (3.4/09), tied for first in adults 18-49 (2.5/08, with NBC) and second in households (5.4/09). Compared to the same night last year, THRESHOLD was up +13% in adults 25-54 and +25% in adults 18-49.

The second season premiere of NUMB3RS (P) was first in households (7.2/12), viewers (11.18m), adults 25-54 (4.1/11) and adults 18-49 (3.0/09). Compared to the same night last year (the premiere of "dr. vegas"), NUMB3RS was up +16% in households, +32% in adults 25-54 and +25% in adults 18-49.
