Martin Creates Network's Third Live Special, All Since Taking on GM Role

New York, NY, May 9, 2005 - WE: Women's Entertainment announced today that the network has created, acquired and programmed a series of exclusives to help viewers celebrate the season finale of the hit show, Desperate Housewives, on Sunday, May 22nd. WE's DESPERATE HOUSE PARTY will showcase a LIVE post-show special, LIVE ON WISTERIA LANE, immediately following the season finale; an exclusive, behind-the-scenes Access Hollywood special, SECRETS FROM WISTERIA LANE; and a daylong movie festival featuring the actresses before they were desperate.

"Since taking over WE at the beginning of the year, the network has been focused on leveraging its powerful brand to create new, relevant and fun programming," stated Kim Martin. "Desperate Housewives is great entertainment and the show reflects the tastes and lifestyles of our unique and loyal audience. WE's DESPERATE HOUSE PARTY will celebrate a great program, while providing our viewers with additional content that only WE could provide."

Each of WE's live specials have been developed under the direction of Martin, who assumed the position of General Manager five months ago. WE's previous live broadcasts include LIVE FROM THE LADIES ROOM featuring commentary from comedian Sandra Bernhard and celebrity stylist Lloyd Boston during the breaks of the Academy Awards. Sandra and Lloyd reviewed the awards, dished on the evening's fashion dos and don'ts and exchanged the latest celebrity gossip. Most recently, WE acquired and aired the exclusive rights to the BBC1 live coverage of the Royal Wedding of Prince Charles and Ms. Camilla Parker Bowles. WE's DESPERATE HOUSE PARTY WILL INCLUDE:

LIVE ON WISTERIA LANE will air immediately following the Desperate Housewives season finale on Sunday, May 22 from 10-10:30 pm ET. The live special will feature real-life desperate housewives discussing the shows characters, how they relate to them, and the season finale. Stylist James Aguilar will also be on hand to discuss the style on Wisteria Lane and give viewers tips on how to achieve "Desperate Style" in their own lives.

Access Hollywood's behind-the-scenes special SECRETS FROM WISTERIA LANE will air exclusively on WE. The one-hour original special, hosted by on-air talent Billy Bush and Nancy O'Dell, takes viewers behind-the scenes of the popular series through interviews, clips and never-before-seen footage. The special premieres on Sunday, May 15 at 10 pm ET, and will air throughout the week, including at 4 pm and 7 pm ET on the night of the season finale.

WE will also host the daylong movie festival, Before They Were Desperate, on Sunday, May 22, beginning at 10 am. The festival is a line-up of movies featuring stars Terri Hatcher (Dead in the Water), Nicolette Sheridan (Somebody's Daughter), Marcia Cross (Always Say Goodbye) and Felicity Huffman (A Slight Case of Murder), before they rose to stardom on the popular series.
