NEW YORK, March 7, 2005 -- As usual, the world is turned upside-down in the Monsoon household for those loveably clueless Ab Fab ladies and their families in the latest Absolutely Fabulous special, premiering exclusively in the U.S. on Oxygen, Friday April 1 at 10:00 p.m. In this installment, Saffron goes off to Africa to marry the father of her daughter Jane, or Lola, as Grandma Edina has taken to calling her and comes back with a bombshell about her new husband. In her absence, Edina has a redecorating crisis and uses regression therapy to glean inspiration for her new kitchen - a move that might just be the final straw for her long-suffering daughter.
The Absolutely Fabulous special, entitled White Box, guest stars Miranda Richardson as Edinas fresh-out-of-the-mental-institution decorator Bettina, whose inspiration for the kitchens new design is the Holocaust. Nathan Lane guest stars as Kunz, Edinas regular German minimalist decorator who sends her to regression therapy for design inspiration, and Roseannes Laurie Metcalf as Crystalline, Edinas celebrity regression therapist. Renowned home designer Terence Conran guest stars as himself.
White Box is Executive Produced by Jon Plowman and is a Saunders & French Production for the BBC in association with Oxygen.
