[via press release from NBC]

GOLDEN GLOBE AND EMMY WINNER SHARON STONE GUEST-STARS ON NBCS WILL & GRACE AS A NO-NONSENSE BUT EXPERT THERAPIST WHO INSPIRES JEALOUSY ON APRIL 14

BURBANK, Calif. - February 18, 2005 - Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner Sharon Stone will guest-star on NBC's "Will & Grace" (Thursdays, 8:30- 9 p.m. ET) on April 14 as a tough but competent therapist who takes on Will (Eric McCormack) as a patient -- and then arouses his jealousy when she becomes fast friends with Grace (Debra Messing) after adding her to her patient list as well.

In the episode, "The Blonde Leading the Blind," Stone guest-stars as Will's gorgeous, talented and no-nonsense therapist, Dr. Georgia Keller. When Will convinces Grace to give her a try, he becomes increasingly envious of the pair's instant friendship and the two old pals compete for the doctor's attention-and a place in her upcoming book.

Since her starring role in "Basic Instinct," the top-grossing film of 1992, Stone has become one of Hollywood's most sought-after leading ladies. She was last seen in the action adventure "Catwoman" (starring opposite Halle Berry) which was released in 2004. Earlier, Stone starred in the Disney feature thriller, "Cold Creek Manor," opposite Dennis Quaid.

Stone most recently finished filming on Jim Jarmusch's untitled comedy, which will be released this year, and includes fellow stars Bill Murray and Jessica Lange. She will begin shooting "Basic Instinct 2" in London this April.

Stone recently received her first Emmy Award for Best Outstanding Guest Actress In a Drama Series for her three-episode arc on "The Practice," where she played Sheila Carlyle, a successful attorney who claims God speaks to her. She also received an Academy Award nomination and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for her role in Martin Scorsese's "Casino" in which she starred opposite Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci. Later, she starred opposite writer/director Albert Brooks in USA Films "The Muse." She earned a Golden Globe nomination for the comedy that poked fun at Hollywood and co-starred Andy MacDowell and Jeff Bridges.

Before "Basic Instinct," Stone garnered attention as the secret agent masquerading as Arnold Schwarzenegger's loving wife in "Total Recall." Her first (albeit fleeting) film appearance was as the blond goddess glimpsed at by Woody Allen on a passing train in "Stardust Memories." Stone's first major film role was in "Irreconcilable Differences," opposite Ryan O'Neal. Additionally, the actress starred in and executive-produced the critically acclaimed "The Mighty" for Miramax Films. Stone received a Golden Globe nomination for her portrayal of a mother of a disabled child, played by Kieran Culkin. She also starred in the remake of John Cassavettes' "Gloria," directed by Sidney Lumet.

David Kohan and Max Mutchnick are the creators and executive producers of "Will & Grace." James Burrows is director and executive producer. Alex Herschlag is executive producer and showrunner. "Will & Grace" is a production of KoMut Entertainment in association with NBC Universal Television Studio and Three Sisters Entertainment.
