GOLDEN GLOBE NOMINEE JULIAN McMAHON RETURNS TO "CHARMED" IN THE 150TH EPISODE ON THE WB
Burbank, CA January 22, 2005
Super-hot star Julian McMahon will reprise his role as Cole Turner in the milestone 150th episode of the hit supernatural drama CHARMED. The announcement was made today by David Janollari, President, Entertainment, The WB. CHARMED, starring Alyssa Milano, Rose McGowan and Holly Marie Combs, airs Sundays (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET).
McMahon will return as Cole Turner, the half-human/half-demon ex-husband of Phoebe Halliwell (Alyssa Milano), who was vanquished in the special 100th episode. In the 150th episode, which is scheduled to air in April, Cole's spirit will meet Piper's (Holly Marie Combs) spirit in the cosmic space between life with death, helping reunite her with Leo (Brian Krause). If all goes well, Phoebe's faith in love just might be restored. "CHARMED has had a loyal fan base since its record-setting debut on The WB," Mr. Janollari said. "It is fitting that we are able to give these viewers the bonus of adding one of the show's most popular characters for this milestone episode."
Hailing from Australia, McMahon starred in two Australian hit series, "The Power, The Passion" and "Home and Away." McMahon's American television credits include starring roles in the primetime drama "Profiler" and the daytime drama "Another World."
McMahon's film credits include "Meet Market," opposite Elizabeth Berkeley and Aisha Tyler; "Wet and Wild Summer," with Elliot Gould and "Chasing Sleep," with Jeff Daniels.
"Charmed" is produced by Spelling Television, Inc., a Paramount/Viacom company. Aaron Spelling and E. Duke Vincent ("7th Heaven," "Beverly Hills, 90210," "Melrose Place") serve as executive producers along with Brad Kern ("Hill Street Blues," "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," "New York Undercover"). "Charmed" was created by Constance M. Burge ("Savannah").
