IT'S A RABID ROAD TO BEST IN SHOW FOR PEDIGREE POOCHES AND THE 'PARENTS' WHO SHOW THEM IN BRAVO'S NEW DOCU-SERIES 'SHOWDOG MOMS & DADS'

FOLLOW-UP TO LAST YEAR'S HIT 'SHOWBIZ MOMS & DADS' TO PREMIERE WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30TH

LOS ANGELES - January 13, 2005 - Bravo turns its behind-the-scenes eye on the competitive, quirky world of show dogs in the new, original docu-series "Showdog Moms & Dads," a follow-up to last year's engrossing hit series "Showbiz Moms & Dads." This eight-part, one-hour series airing Wednesday evenings at 10:00 PM beginning Wednesday, March 30th, features five unique "families" from around the country each comprised of doting human parents committed to their canine children.

For millions of dog owners nationwide, competing in dog shows is a labor of love... love of a particular dog, love of building a better breed and love of beating the competition. "Showdog Moms & Dads" reveals the struggles, the sacrifices, the thrills of victory and disappointment of defeat the owners and their dogs face each weekend as they compete in shows across the country. With dogged determination, owners juggle careers, family and bank accounts to see their pooch crowned top dog.

"'Showbiz Moms & Dads' hit such a nerve with viewers when it premiered last year that we wanted to explore a similar idea with a new subject," said Lauren Zalaznick, President of Bravo. "'Showdog Moms & Dads' seemed like the perfect avenue to take given the way many people obsess over and often equate their pets as children. We also thought it would be fun to present a real behind-the-scenes look at the world of dog competitions where the claws often come out and the fur flies... and that's just among the owners."

"Showdog Moms & Dads" features the following families and their dogs who, at the culmination of the series, all meet for the first time as competitors at the National Dog Show in Philadelphia:

George and Connie are married and reside in Tuscon, Arizona with their two prized whippets, Pepe and Oolala. With more than 50 years of combined experience, George and Connie are dog show circuit veterans who know what it takes to turn their dogs into champs. George is also a judge, and during the course of the series, presides over his first "best in show" competition.

Brandon and Ryan, a Seattle couple, have exciting news... they are expecting. Already the proud parents of Daisy, a longhaired Chihuahua, they are about to add a puppy, Liberace, to the pack. Brandon, who prefers fetching fashions to a simple game of fetch, has clothing custom-made for the dogs and even has their teeth whitened by his own dentist. If George and Connie are the show dog veterans, then it's Show Dog 101 for Brandon, Ryan and little Liberace who starts with the basics at a tear-filled first day of obedience school.

Moira, a Los Angeles native, has been showing Australian Shepherds for more than 20 years, but her 10-year-old son Adam is just getting started. Mother and son routinely load up the camper and head off to weekend competitions where Adam, a junior handler who has only been in the ring twice, really feels the heat. As a junior handler, the judge not only judges the dog's performance, they are also judging him. But with mom's advice and coaching from the sidelines, he's well on his way to becoming a pro.

Lourdes and Peter, a Miami couple, say their champion German Shepherds changed their lives. Unable to have children of their own, Lourdes says their four-legged "children" Max, Katie and Duke filled that emptiness for them. All are champions, and have won two best in show titles. Peter, an attorney, and Lourdes, his office manager, spend their waking hours doting on their dogs. They drive up to 1500 miles each week to attend dog shows up and down the East Coast.

Kyra and her Weimeraner Chalcy are practically inseparable. Every day means a different scheduled activity whether it be hunting, agility or obedience classes or simply rehearsing their act. The two perform around the country with their "World's Smartest Dog" act which landed them on "The Tonight Show." Kyra and Chalcy will soon begin competing in "conformation," the "beauty pageant" portion of dog shows. As they step into the ring for the first time, we'll see how well Chalcy performs, and find out whether she can hold her own against far more experienced pageant dogs and handlers.
