JAYSON DINSMORE PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT, ALTERNATIVE PROGRAMS, FOR NBC
BURBANK, Calif. -- November 29, 2004 -- NBC has promoted Jayson Dinsmore as Vice President, Alternative Programs, NBC Entertainment, it was announced today by Craig Plestis, Senior Vice President, Alternative Programs, to whom he will report.
Dinsmore, who had been Director, Alternative Programs, since September 2003, will be responsible for developing and shepherding alternative series and specials.
"Jayson has a special knack for staying ahead of the creative curve to find new hits," said Plestis. "He's always been very creative, savvy and willing to listen to new ideas that are needed to stay competitive."
Earlier, Dinsmore also served as Manager, Alternative Programs since March 2002.
From July 2000-February 2002, Dinsmore served as a Coordinator, Alternative Programs & Specials, where he assisted the Vice President of Development.
Dinsmore began his professional career as a production assistant on MTV's "Singled Out."
As a graduate of Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas, Dinsmore received a bachelor of arts degree in theology. He resides in Studio City, California.
