Comedian Kevin Nealon Set to Host POKER ROYALE: THE WPPA CHAMPIONSHIP on GSN

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Nov. 23 -- Kevin Nealon, most recognized for the characters he created and played as the longest running cast member in history on "Saturday Night Live," has signed on to host GSN's new original six-episode series, POKER ROYALE: THE WPPA CHAMPIONSHIP, premiering on Tuesday, December 7 at 9:00PM ET/PT.

Nealon will lend his humor and wit to the series by commentating on the amateur and professional poker player's hands as they ante up for their chance to win the tournament, and a chance to split $10 million dollars with a GSN viewer in the $10 Million Poker Sweepstakes.

Filmed at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, POKER ROYALE: THE WPPA CHAMPIONSHIP will allow poker fans across the country to enjoy the action of No Limit Texas Hold'em with buy-ins and blinds (a bet put in play before any cards are dealt) designed to emphasize skill over luck. Players include Carlos Mortensen, Kathy Liebert and Paul Wolfe.

Currently, Nealon's voice can be heard as OCD Ken on Comedy Central's "Crank Yankers." His other television credits include "The Larry Sanders Show," "Dharma and Greg" and "Third Rock from the Sun." Nealon has also starred in over two dozen films including "Happy Gilmore," "The Wedding Singer," "Anger Management" and "8 Crazy Nights."
