Barack Obama, U.S. Senator-elect from Illinois, makes his first visit to the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, Friday, Nov. 26 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
On Nov. 2, Obama, the 43-year-old Democratic state senator from Chicago, who also delivered the keynote address at the Democratic National Convention this summer, defeated Republican challenger Alan Keyes to win the Illinois U.S. Senate race and become only the fifth African-American U.S. Senator in history. He is also the author of the memoir, Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance, which is currently in bookstores.
