LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC's struggling freshman drama "life as we know it" got a vote of confidence yesterday as the Alphabet ordered four additional scripts of the series. In addition, the show's producer Touchstone Television has booked a repurposing deal with MTV to re-air the series.
Through five airings this season, "life" has averaged a paltry 4.06 million viewers in its tough Thursday, 9:00/8:00c slot making it the network's least-watched program this season. Said numbers forced ABC to bump the series for most of November sweeps however new episodes will begin airing on Thursday, December 2.
As for its second run on MTV, viewers can catch an encore of "life's" first three episodes on Saturday, November 27 (6:00-9:00 p.m. eastern) while episodes four through seven will be rebroadcast on Saturday, December 4 (7:00-11:00 p.m. eastern).
The news marks MTV's second repurposing the deal this season, the other being for UPN's "Veronica Mars."
