Cartoon Network to Serve Up Bounty of Marathons for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Weekend Programming Smorgasbord to Begin Thursday, Nov. 25, at 9 a.m (ET, PT)

On Thanksgiving Day, Cartoon Network will offer a premium list of back-to-back animated Cartoon Network series and movie favorites. Family and friends will ditch the holiday preparations on Thanksgiving Day to watch the Transformers Energon Marathon on Thursday, Nov. 25, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. (ET, PT), followed by the Thanksgiving Day Movie Marathon, from 3-8:30 p.m. (ET, PT). The marathons continue on Friday, Nov. 26, with a Tom & Jerry marathon from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and the premiere of G.I. Joe: Venom vs. Valor on Saturday Nov. 27, from 8-10 p.m.

TRANSFORMERS: ENERGON MARATHON
Thursday, Nov. 25, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. (ET, PT)

Back-to-back episodes of Transformers: Energon, the action-adventure program pitting the Autobots against the Decepticons, will air Thanksgiving Day from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Cartoon Network. Unicron has set his sights on stealing Earth�s Energon � the one energy source that will bring him back to power. But Optimus Prime intends to stop this evil plot before Unicron can reactivate. Optimus Prime utilizes the �Spark of Combination� to mobilize his small Autobot force to create larger, more powerful robots. Now the Autobot forces in their new Powerlinx combinations must stop the Decepticons in their quest to revive Unicron. Two new episodes of Transformers: Energon will premiere at the end of the marathon.

THANKSGIVING DAY MARATHON
Thursday, Nov. 25, from 3-8:30 p.m. (ET, PT)

Cartoon Network stuff Turkey Day with three animated features appropriate for this festive holiday. At 3 p.m. (ET, PT) on Thursday, Nov. 25, The Iron Giant will kick off the block, followed by a hearty helping of more fantastic cartoon movies, Prince of Egypt and Scooby Doo and the Loch Ness Monster.

- 3 p.m.: The Iron Giant - Featuring the voice talents of Jennifer Aniston, Harry Connick, Jr. and Vin Diesel, this animated feature tells the tale of Hogarth Hughes, a young boy who develops a friendship with a 50-foot robot that crashes into his sleepy town. When news of the robot�s existence gets out sparking government suspicion, Hogarth must try his best to hide the massive misunderstood robot from his mom, the local scrap-yard beatnik and a dubious government agent.

- 5 p.m.: Prince of Egypt - The Prince of Egypt tells the story of Moses and his passage from slave to prince. Raised as the son of a pharaoh alongside his brother, Rameses, Moses� real heritage is kept secret. But when Moses discovers that he was actually born a Hebrew slave, he must face his destiny as the leader of his people. This new truth forever separates the two brothers in faith, heritage and destiny. Brothers soon become enemies as Rameses refuses to let the Hebrews go. Featuring the voices of Val Kilmer, Danny Glover and Michelle Pfeiffer.

- 7 p.m.: Scooby Doo and the Loch Ness Monster - Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Daphne, Fred and Velma travel to Scotland to co-host the famous Highland games, where they get more than fun when they discover the Loch Ness Monster. Before the games begin, the gang must unravel the secret behind the fabled monster, who is angry that they�re holding the games on her sacred nesting ground.

TOM & JERRY FOOD FIGHT
Friday, Nov. 26, from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. (ET, PT)

Cartoon Network�s famous furry enemies, Tom & Jerry, are going to duke it out on Friday, Nov. 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. when they play the ultimate game of cat and mouse for six straight hours. Will Tom finally outwit Jerry? Or will Jerry escape from Tom�s vicious claws once again?

G.I. JOE: VENOM VS. VALOR
Saturday, Nov. 27, from 8-10 p.m. (ET, PT)

In G.I. Joe: Venom vs. Valor, premiering on Cartoon Network on Friday, Nov. 26, at 8 p.m. (ET, PT), G.I. Joe, America�s daring, highly trained Special Mission Force, faces its greatest threat yet from the evil COBRA Organization, under the direction of Cobra Commander.
