CANDIDATES ON NBC'S 'THE APPRENTICE' CREATE NEW AD CAMPAIGN FOR THE NYPD WORKING WITH AD GURU DONNY DEUTSCH (OCTOBER 28, 9-10PM ET)
NARROWLY ESCAPING THE AXE THE PAST TWO WEEKS, CAN ANDY SUCCEED AS PROJECT MANAGER?
NEW YORK -- October 26, 2004 - On this week's action-packed episode of NBC's "The Apprentice" (October 28, 9-10pm ET), candidates return to Madison Avenue and the headquarters of Deutsch Inc., the scene of one of last season's most memorable episodes. This time the teams are assigned to create a recruitment campaign for the NYPD. Donny Deutsch (Chairman and CEO of Deutsch Inc. and host of CNBC's "The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch") instructs candidates to craft a campaign that will focus on emotion--- "What is going to motivate people to want to give of themselves to serve for their city?" he asks.
Teams head out to NYPD training camp and begin filming a commercial while also working on print and interactive ad campaigns. One team struggles with defining their overall vision while the other wonders whether to use sex and violence to sell their message. Andy (who has been harshly criticized in the past two episodes) leads for the first time. Back in the boardroom, Donald Trump breaks protocol in a shocking decision that rattles everyone at the table.
"MOSAIC": Raj, Chris, Kelly, Andy, Wes, and Kevin

"We were excited to have NBC and 'The Apprentice' back in our office for the second season," said Donny Deutsch, Chairman and CEO of Deutsch Inc. "Donald Trump and Mark Burnett understand the power of advertising, and utililizing all of our resources, each team delivered strong, integrated campaigns and presentations. At the end of the day only one team wins, and we selected the team that captured the heart and soul of the NYPD target."
