'Good Day Live' Takes on the Big Apple in Search for a Local Correspondent
Producers Looking for Undiscovered Talent to File Reports From New York;
Viewing Audience Will Help Select Winning Candidate
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 6 -- The producers of Twentieth
Television's popular daytime news and entertainment talk show "Good Day Live"
are searching for a "true New Yorker" to join the show as a guest
correspondent to provide reports from the Big Apple. To participate in the
"Good Day Live from New York" search, anyone over the age of 18 who resides in
the New York-area is encouraged to send a one-minute submission on VHS or
digital video showcasing their talent to "Good Day Live" for consideration.
All submissions will be reviewed by "Good Day Live's" producers, who will
look at overall creativity, skill and personality. Top submissions will then
be broadcast on "Good Day Live" for viewers to help select their favorite
candidate at http://www.gooddaylive.com. "Good Day Live" anticipates on the new
correspondent making his or her debut in November.
Regarding the announcement, "Good Day Live" executive producers Lisa
Kridos and Josh Kaplan noted, "We are very excited about this search. Anyone
with the desire to work on a daily, live and nationally televised program is
invited to send us their best work. This search is open to a wide range of
people, including, for instance, the blue-collar guy to the mom who stays home
with her three kids. In fact, this is the one job in television where
experience is not necessary!"
They added, "We'll select the best of all submissions and then allow the
'Good Day Live' audience to participate and help select who will become our
New York correspondent, providing even more fun and excitement to our
program."

"Good Day Live" is co-hosted by Steve Edwards, Debbie Matenopoulos and
Arthel Neville, and airs Monday through Friday in first-run national
syndication. The strip currently airs in New York on WNYW at 12:00 noon.
