CNBC RENEWS 'DENNIS MILLER'

Emmy Award winning comedian to remain on network through the end of 2005

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, NJ -- September 8, 2004 -- Dennis Miller will continue delivering his blazingly sharp comedic take on his entertaining topical talk show, "Dennis Miller," it was announced today by Bob Meyers, Senior Vice President, CNBC Primetime Programming. Dubbed "the ant's pants, the bee's knees, the cat's pajamas of politico-comedic talk show ringmasters," by the National Review, Miller's program debuted on CNBC on January 26, 2004.

"Dennis' show is the cornerstone of our primetime lineup and we could not be prouder to have him continue to be part of our team, said Meyers. "For the first time in our history, we are building a unique destination at night for our core business audience and Dennis and his show are fundamental to our strategy."

"I'm just a young kid with a dream," said Dennis Miller. "Seriously, Jeff Zucker and CNBC have given me a great break here and I hope to do them proud."

With just over 100 shows under his belt, Miller has already attracted an exciting mix of celebrities, politicians and business leaders including former President George H.W. Bush, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Al Sharpton, Ben Stein, Wolfgang Puck, and Jay Leno. Blasting hot-button issues with his pragmatic venting, Miller highlights current events in the worlds of news, entertainment, politics and business. Recently, Miller's team of comedic correspondents including Tim Meadows, John Ridley, and ANT reported live from the GOP convention, offering their unique analysis on the speeches as well as reports from the heart of the convention floor.

Miller began his extensive career as a standup comedian and he soon was featured on a larger platform as a regular on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" from 1985-91. In 1994, Miller launched his HBO weekly series "Dennis Miller Live," which garnered five Emmy Awards and three Writers Guild Awards.

Miller has hosted the "43rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards" and "MTV Video Music Awards." From 2000-2002, he made headlines when he joined the celebrated announcing team of "NFL Monday Night Football." Last spring, he wrote and starred in the Emmy-nominated cable comedy special, "The Raw Feed," his sixth such special.

Additionally, Miller often appears on many politically oriented television talk shows. Among Miller's feature-film credits are "Murder at 1600," "Disclosure," "Joe Dirt," and "The Net."

Miller serves as host and executive producer of the program. Eddie Feldmann, also a five-time Emmy Award winner and who served as both executive producer and head writer of HBO's "Dennis Miller Live," is executive producer and head writer of "Dennis Miller."

"Dennis Miller" is produced by NBC Universal Studios, and taped at NBC Universal's Burbank Studios.
