PAX TV TO PREMIERE PROVOCATIVE PRIMETIME COURTROOM SERIES SECOND VERDICT
--TV Personality Rob Nelson to Host Compelling New Program Launching October 5 at 9:00 PM ET/PT --
(West Palm Beach, FL August 25, 2004) PAX TV announces the premiere of Second Verdict, the next generation of courtroom television, on Tuesday, October 5 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Hosted by Rob Nelson, formerly of Fox News Channel, this extraordinary one-hour reality series gives viewers a unique opportunity to delve into the minds of jurors deliberating riveting criminal and civil cases. Each week the distinct personalities of the diverse group of twelve men and women will gradually be revealed through their personal interactions, observations and commentary on real-life crimes.
Second Verdict features rare and exclusive footage from high-profile cases, where cameras were permitted in the courtroom. Unaware of the actual verdict from the original case, the jurors are presented with in-depth arguments from the prosecution and defense through fascinating videotape footage. The cameras then follow the jury into the deliberation room where the contentious process of decision-making ensues. While in the trenches of this confined space, emotions run high and conflict escalates as the jurors scrutinize these complicated cases in hopes of reaching a fair verdict. When our host finally reveals whether the jurys decision matches that of the original trial, jurors have an opportunity to provide their unedited point of view about the case.
Second Verdict is produced by Second Verdict Productions, Inc. and Kimo-Jagger Productions. Executive produced by Dave Harding for Second Verdict Productions, Inc., the series is co-executive produced by Raymond Brune (former president and executive producer, News for E! Networks) and Andrew Yani (E! News Live, Channel One) of Kimo-Jagger Productions. Lions Gate Television, Inc. will distribute the series worldwide for Kimo-Jagger Productions and Second Verdict Productions, Inc.
