TIME, TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 21, ON THE ABC TELEVISION NETWORK
Production has begun in Los Angeles on "George Lopez," the hit family comedy starring popular standup comedian George Lopez, moving to a new night and time -- Tuesdays (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET) -- this fall on ABC. The series is from Bruce Helford, Deborah Oppenheimer and Robert Borden - all from ABC's long-running hit comedy series, "The Drew Carey Show" - and actress/producer Sandra Bullock ("Speed," "Two Weeks Notice"). The fourth season of "George Lopez" premieres TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
George Lopez is a guy who has made lemonade from lemons at every turn. Since he became the plant manager at a L.A. airplane parts factory, George has handled a complicated and tumultuous job - including mergers, vandals and even a Presidential visit -- with his sense of humor intact.
Along with Lopez, the comedy also stars Belita Moreno ("Perfect Strangers") as George's tough-as-nails mother, Benny; Constance Marie ("American Family," "Union Square") as Angie, George's wife; Masiela Lusha as Carmen, their fifteen-year-old daughter; Luis Armand Garcia as Max, their eleven-year-old son; and Valente Rodriguez ("Erin Brockovich") as Ernie, George's best friend and an employee at the factory. Emiliano Dmez ("Nostromo," "The Brothers Garcia").joins the cast in a series regular role as Angie's traditional and meddlesome father, Vic Palmero.
Bruce Helford, Robert Borden, Academy Award-winner Deborah Oppenheimer, Sandra Bullock, George Lopez, Dave Caplan, Paul Kaplan and Mark Torgove serve as executive producers. "George Lopez" is produced by Mohawk Productions, Inc. and Fortis Films, in association with Warner Bros. Television.
