CARSON DALY RE-UPS WITH NBC FOR THREE MORE YEARS AS HOST OF 'LAST CALL WITH CARSON DALY'

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Carson Daly's contract to host "Last Call With Carson Daly" has been extended for three more years. The announcement was made by Jeff Zucker, President, NBC Universal Television Group and Kevin Reilly, President, NBC Entertainment at NBC's Upfront Presentation on May 17, 2004.

The new three-year deal begins in September 2004 and continues through 2007. "I am thrilled to have another 3 years on NBC. I think I'm really building a following with America's prisoners, night crawlers, and doormen," quipped Daly.

"Last Call is a proven winner -- with viewers, with guests who appear and with advertisers. We couldn't be happier to be continuing our relationship with Carson Daly," added Rick Ludwin, Senior Vice President Late Night And Prime Time Series, NBC Entertainment.

"Last Call with Carson Daly," now in its third season, debuted January 8, 2002 and is NBC's latest addition to its No. 1-rated late-night lineup. "Last Call" recently generated its biggest audiences ever for a quarter and a sweep month and is on track to achieve record viewer totals for the current television season.

Hosted by Carson Daly, whose career now spans a multitude of media including network television, cable, radio and most recently, the recording industry, "Last Call" features interviews and musical performances by today's top artists and entertainers. The show returns to Las Vegas on May 18, 2004 to tape from the Hard Rock Hotel's signature Vegas venue, "The Joint," for May/June broadcast.

"Last Call" is taped before a live audience at NBC's Studio 8-H (home of "Saturday Night Live") in New York City. The show airs regularly on NBC Mondays through Thursdays (1:35 a.m. - 2:05 a.m. ET) and Fridays (1:35a.m.- 2:35a.m. ET). David Friedman and Guy Oseary are executive producers of the program produced by NBC Studios.
