CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- Fans of the canceled ABC dramas "Karen Sisco" and "L.A. Dragnet" will get a chance to see the unaired installments of both series beginning next week.
Cable's USA network, which has been carrying both shows' repurposed runs since their respective debuts, will begin burning off new episodes of each series starting March 31 in the Wednesday, 10:00/9:00c time slot. "Karen Sisco" will run its three unaired episodes first, followed by "L.A. Dragnet's" five shelved installments.
Here's a breakdown of what to expect in the coming weeks:
Wednesday, March 31 at 10:00/9:00c - "Karen Sisco: Dog Day Sisco"
Wednesday, April 7 at 10:00/9:00c - "Karen Sisco: No One's Girl"
Wednesday, April 14 at 10:00/9:00c - "Karen Sisco: He Was a Friend of Mine"
Wednesday, April 21 at 10:00/9:00c - "L.A. Dragnet: Abduction"
Wednesday, April 28 at 10:00/9:00c - "L.A. Dragnet: Frame of Mind"
"Retribution," "Riddance" and "Killing Fields," the remaining unaired episodes of "Dragnet," are expected to follow suit in May.
Burning off unaired installments is nothing new for USA as the cable channel debuted three episodes of the short-lived CBS drama "Robbery Homicide Division" last season. Not surprisingly, like "Dragnet" and "Sisco," "Division" was distributed by Universal Network Television, the parent company of which owns USA.
