CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- After almost of month of promises, NBC has picked up four additional episodes of its freshman dramedy "Miss Match." The order brings the show's season total to 17 episodes.
The Peacock said back in November it had planned to order additional installments of the show (read the story) but it wasn't until this weekend that it officially confirmed the pickup.
Tonight's special broadcast of the Imagine Television-produced series is expected to be the show's last until the spring. Current Wednesday, 8:00/7:00c time slot occupant "Ed" is set to take over "Miss Match's" regular Friday, 9:00/8:00c home beginning in January.
Meanwhile in other NBC news, the Peacock has rescheduled its latest "1MM." "Prodigy Bully," from writer/director Hank Perlman ("This Is Sportscenter"), is now scheduled to air in four parts beginning Monday, December 15 and continuing Tuesday, December 16, Wednesday, December 17 and concluding Thursday, December 18. Each night, the one-minute movies will consist of two 30-second spots. No exact times were given.
