CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- FOX will once again lean on theatrical films to boost its sweep schedule as the network has announced several broadcast premieres for the period and beyond. Here's a breakdown of what to expect:
-- The network's struggling Friday lineup of "Wanda at Large," "Luis" and "Boston Public" will get the boot for three weeks in favor of "The Animal" (November 14), "Dude, Where's My Car?" (November 21) and "Big Daddy" (November 28). The trio however is set to return on December 5.
-- Thanksgiving weekend will also see "Tru Calling" and FOX's "Skin" encore bumped in favor of "Dr. Dolittle 2" on Thursday, November 27 while the network's "Cops" and "America's Most Wanted" franchises will take a powder on Saturday, November 29 to make room for "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me."
-- Meanwhile in other FOX news, the network has also announced it will expand the series premiere of "The Simple Life" on Tuesday, December 2 to a full hour beginning at 8:00/7:00c.
