CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- FOX has postponed the debut of its new summer reality series "Paradise Hotel." Originally scheduled for Monday, June 16 at 8:00/7:00c the series will now kick off two days later on Wednesday, June 18 at 9:00/8:00c.
Here's how FOX describes the show (via press release):
This innovative and groundbreaking series follows 11 eligible single guests who are given the opportunity of a lifetime-to live together in the most exclusive resort ever created. Each week guests pair up with a roommate of the opposite sex. The 11th guest will live alone. At the end of the week, the roommates will shuffle and someone will be evicted from PARADISE HOTEL.
The evicted guest is then replaced by the winner of a unique studio game. The current hotel guests are linked via satellite live to the studio as a contestant becomes the next guest at PARADISE HOTEL. The studio winner will leave immediately after the show and fly to the resort to appear on the next episode as a hotel guest, pampered and spoiled beyond his/her wildest dreams at the exotic, sun-drenched PARADISE HOTEL. Viewers at home can apply for a chance to become one of the new hotel guests by logging onto a website given during the studio shows.
The series will air new episodes on Mondays (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) and Wednesdays (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). The Wednesday shows premiere Wednesday, June 18 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). On Monday shows, viewers at home will watch along with the studio audience as every tantalizing moment unfolds at the hotel. On Wednesdays, the in-studio contestants compete to become the newest addition to PARADISE HOTEL. Meanwhile, at the hotel, it is the goal of every guest to remain in paradise as long as possible.
In place of the original June 16 premiere, FOX has scheduled a new special "Outrageous Celebrity Look-alike Behavior: Caught on Tape." Here's how FOX describes the special (via press release):
In the special clones of the world's most famous stars pass for the real thing while carrying out embarrassing, surprising, outrageous acts in public. Celebrity clones include: Bill Clinton, Cher, Janet Jackson, Madonna, Ozzy Osbourne, Anna Nicole Smith, Mike Tyson and Tiger Woods.
An Anna Nicole Smith double gobbles food out of people's carts and off the shelves turning a supermarket into her personal buffet, and an Ozzy Osbourne imposter asks bystanders for a clean urine sample he can use to pass his mandated drug test on the all-new 'OUTRAGEOUS CELEBRITY LOOK-ALIKE BEHAVIOR: CAUGHT ON TAPE' Monday, June 16 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
FOX's other new summer series "Anything for Love" will still bow as scheduled on June 16 at 9:00/8:00c.
