CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) - As a supplement to the press releases issued by the networks, here's an addendum to all the fanfare that went on at each upfront presentation:
-- While "The Tracy Morgan Show" was pegged as of early this morning of landing NBC's Tuesday, 8:30/7:30c slot it will instead be held until midseason. "Happy Family" (which itself was said to get a midseason order) will take its place in the fall.
-- The third season of "Crossing Jordan" will be held until January due to series star Jill Hennessy's pregnancy. Early indicators had NBC bumping the series to Saturdays at 10:00/9:00c should it have returned in the fall.
-- Early indications had "Ed" returning to its current Friday, 9:00/8:00c slot however the series will go back to its old Wednesday, 8:00/7:00c home instead. The news is particularly surprising considering all the noise the Peacock made earlier this season about "Ed" being a 9:00/8:00c show.
-- NBC will go forward with its proposed switch of "Law & Order: S.V.U." to Tuesday nights at 10:00/9:00c where it will certainly make things more interesting next season for CBS' "Judging Amy" and ABC's "N.Y.P.D. Blue" should they stay put in their current homes.
-- "Boomtown" will leapfrog to Fridays at 10:00/9:00c as projected this morning. "The Lyon's Den," which was originally said to air Wednesdays at 8:00/7:00c, will go on to take "Boomtown's" old Sunday, 10:00/9:00c slot.
-- While not mentioned in its press release, NBC has committed to six episodes of each of its "The Dating Game" and "The Newlywed Game" revivals. Also on tap for midseason is the reality series "The Next Action Star" which the Peacock has pushed back from this summer.
