CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- Comedy Central will ramp up its series and DVD production this summer as the cable channel announced several premiere dates this week:
-- A DVD of "The Best of Primetime Glick" hits stores on May 6. The release coincides with the third season premiere of the series on Wednesday, April 30. Specific details about the disc were not announced.
-- Comedy Central will debut its own "follow the celebrity" reality series when "I'm With Busey" premieres on Tuesday, June 17. The project tracks actor Gary Busey's day-to-day adventures.
-- Also on June 17, fans of the short-lived comedy "Strangers With Candy" will see the complete first season released on DVD. Specs and features of the release were not announced.
-- FOX cast-off "Reno 911" will premiere on the cable network beginning Wednesday, July 23. The half-hour unscripted comedy profiles the police force of Reno, Nevada.
-- The fifth season of "The Man Show," featuring new hosts Joe Rogan and Doug Stanhope, will launch on Sunday, August 17.
-- And lastly because it's never too early, Comedy Central has set Sunday, October 12 as the bow for its second original telefilm "Knee Hi Private Eye," about a little person that solves crimes.
Also this summer viewers can expect fresh installments of "Trigger Happy TV" (Mondays beginning April 7), "Insomniac With Dave Attell" (Thursdays starting May 29) and "South Park" (Wednesdays, date to be announced).
