Pilot Update: March 20

CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- The latest development news, culled from various wire reports each morning:

111 GRAMERY PARK (ABC) - Jaleel White ("Family Matters," "Grown Ups") has signed on to appear in the ABC drama pilot.

ALL GROWN UP (CBS) - Amanda Detmer ("A.U.S.A.") has joined the Warner Bros. TV pilot.

THE BREAK (FOX) - Vanessa Minnillo, who was crowned 1998 Miss Teen USA, has been added to the cast of the drama pilot from 20th Century Fox TV and Imagine TV.

CASINO EYE (NBC) - Vanessa Marcil ("Beverly Hills, 90210") is on board the Peacock's Las Vegas drama pilot, which comes from NBC Studios and DreamWorks.

EXPERT WITNESS (CBS) - Azura Skye ("Zoe, Duncan, Jack and Jane") has joined the cast of the forensic science crime drama from 20th Century Fox TV and the Firm.

GAME OVER (UPN) - Oscar winner Marisa Tomei will lead the voice cast of UPN's computer-animated comedy pilot from Carsey-Werner-Mandabach, which also includes Patrick Warburton ("The Tick"), E.G. Daily ("Rugrats"), D.L. Hughley ("The Hughleys"), Rachel Dratch ("SNL"), James Sie and Marie Matiko. The comedy revolves around parents who are videogame characters trying to balance their jobs with raising a family.

HOPE & FAITH (ABC) - Kelly Ripa ("Live With Regis & Kelly") has set her sights on primetime, finalizing a deal to star in the ABC comedy pilot "Hope and Faith." Ripa will star as Faith, a newly unemployed soap opera star that is forced to move in with her housewife fraternal twin sister Hope (Faith Ford). Joanna Johnson wrote the pilot and serves as co-executive producer. Emile Levisetti, Michael Edelstein and Keith Addis are executive producers on the project for Industry Entertainment, which is producing the show with Touchstone. Should the project go to series (which will be shot in New York to accomodate the actress), Ripa will split time between the series and hosting "Live."

LIKE FAMILY (A.K.A. FAMILY FRIENDS) (WB) - J. Mack Slaughter ("What I Like About You") has nabbed a lead role in the comedy from Warner Bros. TV. Warren Littlefield, Kenny Schwartz and Rick Weiner are the executive producers of the comedy pilot about a single white mom and son who move in with a black family.

ONCE AROUND THE PARK (NBC) - Hart Bochner has nabbed the male lead of Adam, Heather Locklear's ex-husband in the Peacock comedy pilot. Sitcom vets James Widdoes and Flody Suarez will executive with Donald Todd ("Dave's World") set to write the pilot which Widdoes will direct. NBC Studios will produce the pilot, with Touchstone Television loaning out the services of Suarez ("8 Simple Rules"). As a result, Touchstone will get a chunk of any backend on the skein.

PLATONICALLY INCORRECT (ABC) - A.J. Langer has been cast as the female lead opposite Tom Everett Scott in the comedy pilot. The two star as best friends who work together on a TV show. Also set are Brian Scolaro as the show's producer and Kali Rocha as his girlfriend, who also works at the show.

SKIN (FOX) - Kevin Anderson ("Nothing Sacred") has joined Jerry Bruckheimer's drama pilot.

UNTITLED NICOLE SULLIVAN PROJECT (CBS) - Eddie McClintock ("Friends, "A.U.S.A.") will star opposite Nicole Sullivan in her untitled Eye comedy.
